Lin Li, model: “My style is simple and classic. Balmain and Herve Leger are my favourite brands. I am wearing a Balmain Dress. My shoes, bag and glasses are Prada.”
Abyan, social worker: “Dress in whatever makes you happy. I wear what makes me happy. I bought this material from Ghana; it’s a traditional fabric and I stitched it myself. My bag is Chanel. I bought it in Europe a few years ago.”
Shannon, PR account manager: “If I feel good, I look good. My jacket is Forever New and these shorts are from a random shop.”
Carlette, trend forecaster: “I have an urban flair. I love sneakers but I am very girly too, I love dresses and accessories. My dress is from a market in Korea, Nike sneakers and Dior bag.”
Elizabeth, retail worker: “I am from Brisbane and travelled to Melbourne for a day for VAMFF. I believe in making a statement and dress for myself. I am very close to 60 so definitely my style is not about being invisible. I am showcasing different Brisbane designers in my outfit.
