Gorgeous!

VoxFrock briefed a full crew for our Melbourne Cup 2024 Carnival coverage and – whoa – what a spread or six we’ve mustered for you across the week. Check our reels from shooters Theadora Violet and Chrissy Dore on VoxFrock and Melbournedit instas. And enjoy this one: Philip Castle‘s mix, a curated teaser for his forthcoming book on the whole gorgeous, glamourous shebang that is the Melbourne Cup Carnival. Philip’s specialty is Flemington’s Bright Young Things and its carnival of smashingly turned-out punters and celebrities. He shoots them everywhere; across the emerald lawns from the joyous general admission areas to the bitumen rows of the invite-only Birdcage. This week Philip tracked them, fresh-as-morning-daisies as they arrived on Derby, Cup and Oaks Days, captured their gradual shucking-off as the sun soaked in and music cranked loud and seductive on three glorious afternoons, then followed as they departed at dusk in chummy, staggering, barefoot groups….
