The sixth instalment of fashion brand R E M U S E ’s mycology-inspired show series MIC0|4, was a multi-sensory experience of light, sound and “Cosmic Earthwear” that invited its audience into the inner workings of a runway.

In Southbank’s RE/Space, a studio created from waste materials, designer/artist Tamara Leacock (who doubles as lecturer in the Fashion and Sustainability Degree program at Collarts) gave guests a clear line of sight into the mechanics of back stage production with projection designers and producer and vocalist, Komang stationed in the crowd.
With slow flowing, emotional performances, models and movement artists animated Tamara’s creations of sustainable, circular, plant-based “Cosmic Earthwear” into walking, dancing artworks.
R E M U S E’s credentials are heavily weighted in circularity, sustainability, natural and recycled materials, free-sizes, androgynous designs and inspirations drawn from “biomimicry” and the extraordinary fungi kingdom.
Garments fashioned from textile scraps, food waste and plant based dyes were complimented on the runway by Texcoco Collective’s plant-based leather accessories and off the runway by Ageyo Coffee’s vegan and vegetarian catering.
