NOWEST

There were some pretty compelling theories behind MFF’s pick of brands for Urban Oasis. “Notions of identity, social enterprise, politics, upcycling, customisation…” were high on programmer, Paola di Trocchio’s notes. But on the runway, the complex criteria and theories dissolved, as they tend to do in fashion, into a lineup of simply cool, relateable, often off-beat and always easy-wearable everyday and streetwear by some of Australia’s most exciting emerging, established and First Nations designers. Voxfrock rookie photographer Carlin John Stephenson, one of our most gifted, was there for you, outside on the Fashion Forecourt, inside on the media riser, shooting some of the NOWEST brands of fashion 2023: Gammin Threads Amber Days Ginny’s Girl Gang, Chris Ran Lin, Haus of Dizzy, Yanggurdi, Moss Tunstall , Nungala Creative and Homie. Enjoy, and click back later today for more daily MFF updates by the Voxfrock Rookie Crew.
