David Jones took us on a journey across ascetics, eras and occasions. From military to utility, active wear to retro, no style was left unplumbed. Ruffled evening gowns in embellished botanical prints were juxtaposed with edgy active wear and clashing primary colours. Styles converged, intertwined, for a colour-charged collection of more than 120 winter outfits.

The show’s first category, “Popsicle” sent a clear message for Melbournians to break away from black, inject colour into our wardrobe.

A “Military” story supplied plenty of blazers from the likes of Camilla&Marc and Viktoria&Woods.  Lustworthy shades of khaki with gold buttons were tastefully tailored and radiated powerful chic.

Thurley showed a stunning send-off to summer in flirty lace dresses, vivid red and adorned with poppies.

P.E nation delivered strong graphic looks in a trendy collision of street and active wear including elongated red stripes on roomy bomber jackets and leggings. A brand to keep watching as it reinvents classic definitions of active wear.

And finally, the omnipresent message of self expression was also evident in lace and neoprene designs, androgynous suits and nomadic prints.

A fusion of styles to satisfy all fashion tastes.
