DAY EIGHT – ARE WE THERE YET?

VAMFF SWUNG AWAY FROM CENTRAL PIER AND OVER TO STONNINGTON YESTERDAY, A BRIGHT BLUE, SUNSHINEY SATURDAY. AND, THOUGH YOU MIGHT EXPECT MELBOURNE’S FASHIONISTOCRATS TO BE DRAGGING THEIR STILETTOS AFTER A FULL WEEK OF DAWN-TO-DARK FROCKERAMAS, YOU MIGHT BE WRONG. ONE OF THE WEEK’S NOISIEST AUDIENCES MUSTERED AT MALVERN CENTRAL SHOPPING MALL FOR THE FAMOUS FOR FASHION KIDSWEAR SHOW, AND ONE OF ITS MOST JOYFUL CROWDS TOOK TEA WITH FROCKS AND CAKE AT MALVERN TOWN HALL FOR STONNINGTON’S ANNUAL ODE TO ITS MANY MARVELLOUS FASHION RETAILERS, AT ITS BOUTIQUE HIGH TEA. ON THE SECOND LAST NIGHT OF VAMFF 2015, THE FROCKY JUGGERNAUT THEN RETURNED TO DOCKLANDS AND ITS TELESCOPIC PENINSULA RUNWAY FOR INDEPENDANCE WHERE EMMA MULHOLLAND, SALASAI (MAIN PHOTO, TOP), DRESS UP, STRATEAS CARLUCCI AND THIS YEAR’S NATIONAL DESIGNER AWARD WINNER, PAGEANT, ACCURATELY PINGED EVERY MARKER FOR NOWNESS, WINTER 2015.
