The Voxfrockers are accredited, ticketed, frocked-up and firing on all fashionable cylinders, ready to report from the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival from every conceivable angle, just for you!
Some of our six-strong team have already begun to feed reports and pictures from gems in the VAMFF’s Cultural programme into their social media streams….
Check into Monty Coles’ www.theloupe.org for his inimitable photo essays on the launch of Bendigo Art Gallery‘s wonderful Marilyn exhibition, the National Gallery of Victoria‘s historic 200 Years of Australian Fashion show, and the calm before the tornado of fashionactivity about to descend on the Royal Exhibition Buildings before tonight’s David Jones Opening Runway.
Our rare and lovely illustrator, Robin Cowcher, also found time to wander through the NGV’s Ian Potter Centre and, lucky for us, was so mesmerized by Dion Lee‘s exquisitely complicated Arc Coat Dress, she felt compelled to render a version in wash and ink (below). Check back into Voxfrock this week for more of Robin’s whimsical work inspired by churn of chic in and around VAMFF.
All the Voxfrockers including guest reporter Estelle Michaelades, guest photographer Kayla Piccolo, our resident fashion fairy The Human Chameleon, journalist Yuzuha Oka and editor Janice Breen Burns, wish you a happy week of Vamffing!
