ROMANCE UNMISSABLE

Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales of Romance Was Born never cease to amaze

The partners’ presented their spring/summer 13/14 collection with “Mushroom Magic”, a show billed as “a tale of magical metamorphosis…an invitation to follow willingly and with gay abandon…tumble headfirst into a world…like a psychedelic dream…”

And, so it was: Romance on steroids but also, presenting some genuinely new fashions to quicken the pulse of women and girls – any age – who treasure The New and Unique. From a lollypop frocklet beautifully suited to romantic girls, to an artfully composed floor-sweeper gown and a particularly lovely pearl-crusted edge-to-edge frockcoat, “wearability” countered the breathtaking fantasy of “Mushroom Magic”across the collection more often than not.

Miss Plunkett and Mr. Sales’ reputation for fastidious attention to detail, exceptional quality materials and impeccable finish were also as thrilling to watch as their whimsical candyfloss planet.
