Welcome to FashLab VidiChat, a series of Very Useful nuts-and-bolts interviews with FashLab’s creative professionals in fashion and its sister industries. We’re kicking off today with the dynamic co-founder of Rntr, self-styled “Change Maker in the making”, Shanya Suppasiritad.
In 2015 Shanya established her first peer-to-peer wardrobe swap concept, Tumnus after noticing consumer thirst for cheap fast fashion was changing in favor of a more ethical and environmental consciousness. “There’s an environmental and human impact people often don’t think about,” Shanya says. “(And) for lovers of fashion, keeping up with trends is expensive.”
With co-founder Natalie Johnson (main photo), Shanya eventually evolved their business to the brand-to-consumer RNTR. They are now calling for more brands to get on board, to plug profitably into this Australian arm of fashion’s fast-growing global share economy in a few easy steps using Rntr’s full-service technology and logistics.
