That’s all folks. Your last blast of VAMFF 2017 was filed by Voxfrock rookies Hannah Cole and photographer Julie Due from Monty Coles‘ RMIT rookie from the week’s final Premium Runway 7 show…
Think monochromatics splashed with colour; a little burgundy, khaki, pale blue. Eugenie, Wynn Hamlyn, Kloke and Pageant each showed a unique take on the key hues of the season.

Eugenie’s largely denim-based collection added velvety texture in floral and burgundy tones. Wynn Hamlyn struck similar notes of burgundy and denim then added a frilled knit for volume and a flounce to animate your step.

At Kloke, khaki was king, paired with bright whites or kept dark and moody with a black overcoat and cap, a look worthy of the coolest streetwear kids.

Pageant’s uniquely Melburnian take on sportswear included an array of white, mellow purple, simple grey and delicate blue outfits offset with pops of yellow and green. Streamlined silhouettes, seamless two-piece outfits, blocked colours. The designers’ formula was simple; begin with a base (denim, black, white, khaki), add a little more (try denim on denim), then throw in just enough colour to draw the eye.
Finally, fans of the exuberant Garbage TV brand (main photo, top) will be rocking bobble-headed onesies and coats of many colours this winter, looks guaranteed to get you snapped.
